Materials used

We typically use Australian cement with 25mpa or 32mpa using reinforced mesh for our driveway and path construction. Mpa refers to the strength of the concrete, the higher the Mpa the more durability and strength within the concrete mix, the Reinforced mesh ensures that the concrete will hold together to act as the skeleton of the concrete to enable it all to hold together.

Suggested base preparation

For optimal results within our driveways and paths we always recommend our base preparation included within every quote, this refers to the use of a Bobcat and excavation of soil in order to lay a firm rubble base which is compacted to create stronger outcome giving your driveway and paths a longer lasting life with less chance of the concrete cracking.

Ask us for a free quote via email or in-person Typically our clients will send us their site plans and master plans via email if the job is for a new build. However if you don't have one, feel free to discuss your needs with us.
We create a quote for you Our pricing is calculated from a variety of ways including location of job, access we have whether that includes a concrete pump or if wheelbarrows are required in order to place the concrete where the job is required.
Receive our quote If you send us your site plans and master plans, we can typically come back to you with a quote within 1-3 days without you having to step foot onsite.
Agreement and onsite visit Once you as the customer is happy with the quote, an onsite visit will be scheduled in to confirm the measurements and soil amounts needed to be removed for your new driveway and path construction.
Start and pay throughout We work off of deposit and progress payments to ensure our company and the client are both safe.

How long does this service take?
Typically the average home is around 100-200sqms, when we arrive on site we aim to work at the most efficient and timely manner usually our bobcat/ excavation process will take a day to commence and complete to create a stable base to pour the concrete on. Once this process is done pouring the concrete may take 1-2 days depending on what options of concrete our clients are after.
Will there be any delays on my job?
Usually the only delays that occur whilst working on clients homes are if weather is affecting the pours which will create a delay if rain, heavy winds or storms occur.
How is your pricing calculated?
Our pricing is calculated from a variety of ways including, location of job, access we have whether that includes a concrete pump or if wheelbarrows are required in order to place the concrete where the job is required.
Will my concrete crack?
Due to concrete being a made man product with a lot of external factors affecting it such as ground movement, weight being on the concrete and weather, concrete is always bound to crack over time, we never gaurentee our concrete won’t crack.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes we are fully Licensed with our BLD by Consumer Business Services and have all of our insurances up to date to keep both ourselves and clients safe.
How thick should my driveway and paths be?
Our Driveways are poured at 100mm thick for all residential construction and our paths are usually poured around 90mm.
What locations do you cover?
We cover All of Adelaide region and cover all of the Yorke peninsula.
How long until I can walk on my driveway and paths?
We recommend minimum 24/48 hours depending on weather to walk on your freshly poured concrete.
How long until I can drive on my driveway?
We recommend a minimum of 8 days before driving on your freshly poured driveway.
How is concrete measured?
Concrete is measured by square metres for example 10 metres x 10 metres = 100 Square Metres (SQM)
How can I schedule a quote?
By phoning us we can offer a quote via email with 1-3 days using your site plans and master plans.
How does payment work?
We usually take deposits once we have commenced work and are onsite, prior to pouring and then upon completion the remaining amount shall be paid.
How much experience do you have?
We have 3 generations of experience and knowledge with the business, the main owner of Luciano Concrete has been Concreting for over 10 years.
How long does the concrete take to fully cure?
The curing process of concreting will typically take a minimum of 28 days to ensure its maximum strength is met.
