What is plain and coloured concrete?

Plain concrete is the standard approach to concreting that creates a low maintenance option for customers vs other alternatives such as pavers.

Adding colour to your concrete can be a cost effective way to transform the look of your home without the expense compared to other ranges of concreting options. With the different ranges of pigments and oxides added within the mixes of concrete any colour can be achieved to create a natural yet modern look.

Our service

We deliver a different range of plain and coloured concrete services all across South Australia. Our driveways are all poured with a minimum of 25mpa plain or coloured concrete to achieve an above industry standard to maintain strength and integrity for all of our jobs.

Our services are from start to finish pointing you in the right direction with guidance along the way as to which colour options are readily available and what suites the different needs for each individual customer.

Colour options

A range of colour options can be viewed on our preferred suppliers websites which can be visited in person at their showroom/display centre or online. Choosing colours can be difficult with so many different options to choose from. We always recommend visiting jobs done by our team to get an idea of what our work and your expectations should be.

Suggested sealer

Within the process of coloured concrete we always recommend to apply sealer on your freshly poured concrete to enhance the look and lifetime of your concrete.

Pricing

  • Ask us for a free quote via email or in-person Typically our clients will send us their architectural plans and engineering plans via email if the job is for a new build. However if you don't have one, feel free to discuss your needs with us.
  • We create a quote for you Our pricing is calculated from a variety of ways including location of job, access we have whether that includes a concrete pump or if wheelbarrows are required in order to place the concrete where the job is required.
  • Receive our quote If you send us your site plans and master plans, we can typically come back to you with a quote within 1-3 days without you having to step foot onsite.
  • Agreement and onsite visit Once you as the customer is happy with the quote, an onsite visit will be scheduled in to confirm the measurements and soil amounts needed to be removed for your new driveway and path construction.
  • Start and pay throughout We work off of deposit and progress payments to ensure our company and the client are both safe.

  • What colour options are there for our concrete?
    We will guide you in the right direction with different suppliers websites with colour charts to achieve the right colour you are after.
  • Can I see the different colours in person?
    Each supplier has there own showroom or display centre that you can view the different colours in person.
  • Should I seal my coloured concrete?
    We always recommend sealing your concrete to enhance the look and lifetime of your concrete.
  • Will my coloured concrete fade?
    Unfortunately due to UV rays of the sun, coloured concrete will always fade. However, by sealing the concrete, we can enhance the look and lifetime of the concrete.
  • Can we colour seal my concrete?
    Colour sealing is an option that can create a colour film on top of existing or freshly poured concrete to give another layer of colour film and prevent extreme fading from UV rays.
